Evoqua Water Technologies has entered right into a definitive settlement to acquire Smith Engineering Inc, a US designer, producer and servicer of custom high purity water treatment tools.
Headquartered in Chaska, Minnesota, Smith Engineering provides water treatment products and services, including filtration, UV, reverse osmosis, and deionization, for the biotech/pharmaceutical, data centre, food and beverage, healthcare, medical device and microelectronics markets. The company has greater than 1,200 clients in North America.
Evoqua says that the acquisition will improve its portfolio of excessive purity water treatment techniques and increase its service footprint in North America.
“Smith Engineering has built a strong status as a trusted partner, providing dependable excessive purity water solutions and services to their broad buyer portfolio,” stated Ron Keating, Evoqua’s CEO. “This addition will further strengthen our service footprint in North America, enabling us to higher serve our customers.”
