Built by Pipeline Engineering in Catterick, UK, the 48-in ASME U-Stamp giant ROC closure needed to be delivered to the client in Houston, Texas in 10 weeks. It was constructed and delivered on time using the new giant Vertical Turning Center (VTC) put in in Catterick in 2020 to reduce back manufacturing lead time.
Following the supply, Pipeline Engineering provided support with installation and welding from its Houston facility.
The closure has been equipped with the new CIRCORSmart tag for traceability, document entry and straightforward buyer assistance when it goes into operation.
