Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour point depressant pumps that are 18m in length and the other four are methanol lift pumps which would possibly be 10m long.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors which have been designed and built alongside the size of the pumps to watch the temperature of every bearing individually.
The 18m long pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches every pump to its tank throughout installation making certain that as the pump is lowered into the tank it stays completely aligned, lowering vibration and put on during operation.
Once assembled, the pumps had been independently witness examined and licensed by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps have been then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore the place the FPSO (floating production storage and offloading unit) is being constructed.
The pump supply and installation had to align with the FPSO build schedule. Because of the length of the pumps, they had to be put in into the vessel’s tanks via the deck earlier than another deck above the pumps might be built. The first phase was completed efficiently over the Christmas period with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning team supporting the shopper with the installation and commissioning.
The FPSO might be positioned in the KG-DWN 98/2 subject, roughly 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to produce as a lot as ninety 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It might be geared up to deal with the monsoon situations prevalent at the field.
